Welcome to my website 

Here I am in my studio throwing a small mug. Each piece is unique, handmade on a potter’s wheel, painted and glazed with considerable care and fired to 1,260C. The high temperature makes them strong, oven and dishwasher safe.

These pots celebrate the serving and sharing of food. Their decoration reflects my relationship with the natural world, especially the leaves, flowers and insects to be found in our small London garden.

It was whilst teaching a history of ceramics course at Croydon College of Art and Design that I discovered my own style. Since then I have done extensive research into slips, liquid coloured clays, which can still be seen even under opaque high temperature glazes.

 

Forthcoming exhibitions:

Canopy Market, Kings's Cross: My pots will soon be on display at Canopy Market, a covered weekend market, near Granary Square, King's Cross, N1C 4BH. This London Potters exhibition will run for three days: Friday 17 May (12noon to 8pm), Saturday 18 May (11am to 6pm) and Sunday 19 May (11am to 6pm). The market features a variety of fresh produce, artisan food, handmade crafts, designer-makers and artists alongside street food, drinks and music.

Open Door, Berkhamsted: Another chance to see my pots. This exhibition is at Open Door, Community Space and Cafe, 360-364 High Street, Berkhamsted, HP4 1HU from Saturday 8 to Saturday 22 June. My exhibition is part of Bucks Art Weeks. Opening hours: Sat 10:30am to 1:00pm, Mon to Fri 10:30am - 3:30pm, and closed on Sundays.
